Your Moment Of Power Is Now!

A Thinking Exercise to Super-charge Your Success

Achieving success through thinking exercises is all about the power of creative visualization. One very powerful thinking exercise you can use is creative visualization. This is the ability to use your imagination, to see images of yourself as successful in your mind and then to take the steps which mean that vision of yourself as successful becomes reality. It’s not some weird New Age thinking that many people believe it to be; this thinking exercise is about seeing what you want and having the confidence to go for it, taking control of your own life and future.

How does it work?

In creative visualization you use your imagination to create a clear image, idea, or feeling of something you wish to make come true. Then you need to keep that picture in mind and think about it regularly – a few minutes each day at least - until you actually achieve what you have been imagining.

The goal you want to achieve can be anything – just imagine yourself having achieved it and how different you will feel then. Some will say that this thinking exercise works on a spiritual level, your thoughts going out into the world and positively affecting the people and events around you so that the correct circumstances for you to achieve your ambition are created. Maybe, maybe not – but it will change you.

Overcome your limited thinking

By imagining the goal you want and seeing yourself as having achieved it, you start to convince your self-conscious mind that you can really do it. Believing you can actually do something will change your whole way of approaching a task. You start to see how you can acquire new skills and achieve personal growth. Personal growth and new skills make more things possible. Perhaps this is the real strength of this thinking exercise.

So how do you do it?

Creative visualization is so easy, anyone can do it.

First, relax. Forget about all the problems and the things which are distracting you from your goal in the here and now.

Second – make your mind actively see you achieving that goal. You will feel yourself smiling and you will automatically think about what you must have done to male yourself successful like that. You’ll realize how good it feels to be successful in your aim.

That’s really all you consciously do for a while. Just practice this thinking exercise at least twice a day, about ten minutes each time. That really gives your subconscious mind the idea that you want this thing and that you’re going to have it.

Is Your Negative Thinking Keeping You From Success?

Your subconscious mind contains all your past experiences and beliefs. Negative thinking sabotages your hopes and dreams. If your subconscious mind is programmed to see yourself as a failure or someone who doesn’t succeed, then every action you take will be guided by this firmly held belief. You won’t set out to positively grab success because you won’t think you deserve it or that it could ever happen to you. In short – you’re keeping yourself from success.

So how can negative thinking keep you from success?

It sounds crazy, doesn’t it? But crazy thoughts are powerful things. Thoughts guide us through every waking moment and they even affect us whilst we sleep. Your mind absorbs all your experiences and all you see and hear and feel, but it doesn’t necessarily analyze them unless you make it do that. If you usually indulge in negative thinking, that’s what your mind will accept as the truth. You need to get yourself some new influences! - Ones that don’t constantly see the bad side of things and wait for things to go wrong.

That kind of negative thinking keeps you from success because you don’t then take responsibility for what is happening to you. You feel that you know things will go wrong sooner or later, no matter what you do – so why do anything? If you believe that you are going to fail, your unconscious mind will believe that, and as a way to protect you, it will stop you taking a risk and doing things you might fail at. Negative thinking can really hold you back in life. You just won’t take the risk of that something you fear going wrong – so you won’t take the chances of making things go right for you.

Do you think that you can’t achieve those ambitions you want?
If you do, then you will close your mind, see no opportunities, and behave and react negatively and defensively. That way you allow negative thinking to rule your life and you stop yourself achieving success, thus becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy of the doom you were sure awaited you anyway. That’s no way to live your life – is it?

Negative thinking shouldn’t just be rejected as wrong

You should consciously think about the problems you foresee and pitfalls you envisage and think of possible ways around them. That is the way to take control of your thinking.

Use the Power of Thought to Attract Success

When you use the power of thought to propel you toward your goals and ambitions, you will be surprised at how quickly you actually attract success to yourself. Here’s how to use the considerable thinking power that you have:

Step 1 – Set goals

You wouldn’t set off in a car to cross a foreign country without maps, satellite navigation or at least some guide books, would you? Well your future is a foreign country, waiting to be explored. But it’s best done with the safety of having some plans and route maps. That way, you can relax a little and enjoy the journey because you won’t be scared you’ll get lost or forget your destination.

Step 2 – Creative visualization unleashes the power of thought

To understand how the power of thought works, you have to understand that the subconscious mind does not know what reality is and what fiction is. That’s why you can wake up confused after vivid dreams, not knowing if it happened or not; or you can forget to pick up a certain everyday item from the shops simply because you’ve remembered doing it time and time again so you’ve imagined yourself doing it this time too.

That little weakness in the subconscious mind could be your biggest strength in using thinking power in order to live better.

You’ll find a lot of books and internet sites on the power of thought, but unfortunately, most of them are naive. They tell you how to do it at a basic level, but they conveniently leave out the fact that in order to maximize the benefits of creative visualization, you can’t do it in five minutes in your spare time and then forget about it. If you do, your subconscious mind will still be bombarded with all the negative thoughts and feelings you still hold on to as well.

So, you have to be strong and each time you feel a negative thought creep into your head, be aware of it. Use your power of thought think about it constructively and immediately come up with a solution for the problem it has posed for you. That way, the solution gets filed away into your subconscious mind right away along with the problem – a neat little filing system!
