Testing The Power Of Intention
It’s not at all difficult to prove the power of intention. Simply practice awareness in your daily life as you project your focused intentions in various ways.
Here are a few easy things you can try:
As you use the checkout counter at a grocery or retail store do the following experiment. Ideally you can run this two or more times in a 24 hour period to compare results.
- Relax completely before approaching the cashier.
- Strive to hold a blank expression on your face, neither happy or sad - just calm and neutral.
- Imagine sending forceful thoughts to the cashier. These thoughts can be of a positive or negative nature, just imagine screaming them in your mind directly at the attending cashier.
- Notice how the cashier reacts. Does he/she squirm, smile at you, or give the impression of knowing that you are thinking toward him/her?
Try this one with an animal or pet.
- Being as silent as possible, position yourself near a pet or wild animal.
- Stand still, and imagine grabbing the animal abruptly.
- Stare intently at the little critter, projecting the thought of grabbing it up and tickling it.
- Does the animal sense your intention and run, or at least keep an eye on you?
Here’s another good one:
If you are in the mall, the grocery store, or elsewhere become aware of who is behind you. See if you can find another person walking in back of you - say 25 to 30 ft. Begin to project your intention into this individual; just be aware of them (without staring or even looking back!) and feel into the idea of making a connection with them.
You may experience the sudden impression that the other person knows you are aware of them behind you. This is highly experiential but unmistakable when you feel it.
Can any of this be proven scientifically. Actually yes and many researchers are working on these kinds of experiments today - however there will be no way for you to provide conclusive, hard proof that your own experiments are working.
You’ll have to make a choice: Either believe in your experience of the power of intention or don’t.
Interestingly when you choose to believe, you’ll find you are able to more easily recreate clear effects with these and other experiments in the future. And of course you can shift your focus from playing with a cashier’s mind to drawing more support to your life in the form of other people, money, and exciting new events.
